Agave de Cortes Reposado Mezcal

For close to 200 years, the Cortés family has been growing, foraging and distilling the maguey in the Zapotec town  of Santiago Matatlán, 30 miles southeast of Oaxaca City: the gateway to the Oaxacan highlands, mezcal country!  Besides being farmers and master distillers, the Cortés family is the driving force behind the award winning mezcales of El Jolgorio and Nuestra Soledad.

Espadín agave, distilled and matured six months in white American oak. Agave de Cortés Reposado adds gentle flavors of vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate and white stone fruit to the complex canvas provided by their Joven mezcal. The smoke is subtle and the palate is rich.
