100% Nebbiolo. Intense garnet red. Intense nose replete with complex, sweet spices, violets, balsamic notes.  Warm, supple flavor with good acidity, well integrated tannins.

Passion for wine and tradition. The Seghesio winery has always identified itself with the territory of Monforte d’Alba. Since the 60s grandfather Ettore had started to believe in wine growing, which has become the main activity over the years. The vineyards have always been the core of the family in which work, dedication and effort have given origin to high quality wines, which represent the Langa region.

Their land, the commitment of Aldo and Riccardo, Ettore’s sons, and their ties with the hills of Monforte have enabled this winery to create a precise company identity since the 80s: the Seghesio winery, dedicated to Barolo, the first wine to be bottled in 1988. Tradition meets the latest oenological and technical developments to better enhance the local wines.

A step forward was made in the 90s, with the building of the new cellar and the second enlargement at the beginning of 2000. In 2005 the last generation entered the winery management with Sandro and Marco, and since 2010 Michela has been taking care of the accounting and sales departments.

Their market is mainly abroad: their wine has been largely appreciated in the United States since the beginning of their activity, then there is Europe, with Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the UK and the Scandinavian countries. The company is looking with interest also at Japan and Brazil, creating trade relations with these countries.
A family, a territory, a great wine: this is the Fratelli Seghesio winery.
