East Rock Brewing Lite Beer

East Rock Lite Bier is our take on a German-style Leichtbier, or light beer.  This remarkably pale and crisp golden lager is brewed with a blend of imported Pilsner and spitz malt and cold-hopped during fermentation with Saphir hops.  Gown by Seitz Farm in the Hallertau region of Germany, the Saphir hops used in this recipe impart a spicy, herbal nuance and subtle hint of tangerine and lemon peel.  At 4.2% ABV and 120 calories per 12 oz. serving, Lite Bier is our lightest and lowest calorie beer to date.  4-packs of 16 oz. cans and draft will be available at our beer hall and at select accounts in Connecticut for a limited time.  2% of sales from this batch of Lite Bier will be donated to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association
