Colline de l'Hirondelle "Le Rêve de Lala" Vin de France
A wine selected by and produced exclusively for us at The Wise Old Dog, this "Le Rêve de Lala" (Lala's Dream) is named after my daughter, Charlotte. Charlotte's nickname is Lollie and since she was very little she has called herself "Lala."
A fixture in my own childhood bedroom since birth, this same painting now rests proudly above Lala's bed each night as she dreams.

We collaborated with a very special farmer family in the South of France to make this unpretentious, crushable, chillable (if you like), daytime, weeknight, go-to, completely organic, very old vine deliciousness just for us, for you.
Colline de l'hirondelle is a very old biodynamic farm in a tiny town within Corbieres and home to the oldest vineyard in the village. Planted at the end of the 19th century, it miraculously escaped phylloxera and the uprooting of old vines that has plagued the Languedoc; this tiny one-acre plot is a conservatory of rare and disappearing varieties. A local vine scientist has identified the following 13 varieties: Carignan noir, Grenache noir, Cinsault noir, Mourrastel Boucher noir, Rivairenc noir, Grand Noir de la Calmette, Mourvèdre noir, Terret noir, Terret gris, Terret blanc, Olivette blanche, Chasselas doré, Valencin rose and two mysterious varieties are still unidentified.
