description

The 2012 vintage was conditioned by low rainfall, 25% lower than usual in our region. It was a particularly dry year until well into autumn, since almost 35% of the total precipitation was concentrated in the last three months of the year. This low rainfall and the high temperatures of spring and summer meant a significant advance in the harvest, similar to that of the previous harvest, although the rains that began on October 11 meant that the harvesting work lasted until the 18th. October, five days later than the 2011 harvest, but a date still very early for what is usual in Haro. The harvest began on October 4 with the white varieties. These same conditions caused a significant reduction in the number and weight of the grape clusters, and therefore the final production of our farm was below that expected in a normal year. The quality of the wines of this vintage in our House was very good due to a magnificent state of health and a good balance between alcohol content and polyphenols and the wines develop favorably in terms of freshness and finesse due to their good aptitude for aging. in barrel and long storage.
