Railsback Frères 'Soeur' Camp Four Vineyard Vermentinu Santa Maria, 2020

Vinified in a mix of concrete egg and neutral burgundy barriques, using only native yeasts; each was allowed to complete a natural malolactic. After choosing two barrels of each terroir to bottle separately as a vineyard designate, the remaining barrels were then blended and bottled without fining, only a rough filtration, and only the smallest amount of SO2 added at bottling

Owned by the Native American Chumash, Camp Four is on marine sediment/sandy loam and gives the most fruit-forward expression of the three Vermentinu bottlings. A sure crowd-pleaser, it’s full of California sun and charm.
