‘STAR BRIGHT’ Domaine Dupasquier, Savoie

Domaine Dupasquier is a small family run winery specializing in traditional, native wines. Here, we explore their treasured white wines. The winery is located just west of the “Le Dent Du Chat” mountain and thus carves out a style perhaps best described as a crossroads between the fresh and mineral driven Alpine wines of Savoie and the rich and fruit driven wines of the Rhône. Beyond that, the estate bucks modern trends by giving all of their wines extended time in neutral barrel lending remarkable texture while maintaining pronounced freshness. Specializing in a grape that is a personal favorite of mine yet incredibly difficult to find, Altesse, this Domaine has risen quickly for me from unknown to *instant* classic…if only there was enough to indulge more often. Dupasquier reflects vibrant acidity and abeautiful savory characteristic that is tough to find in whites. A treat! Indulge while we have our limited stock. -JWK
