Scheuermann Riesling Trocken Pfalz, 2020

This is a wonderful dry Riesling that comes from a new importer, natural wine zeitgeists Super Glou. Winemaker Gabriel Scheuermann is based in the Pfalz in Germany, a region geographically and culturally close with the Alsace in France. This vibrant Riesling shows ample acidity to cut through the decadent side dishes Thanksgiving indulgently offers, but also provides an unexpected rich body due to the warmer climate of the Pfalz. Expect notes of stone fruit like peach and nectarine. Scheuermann’s Riesling is simple, bright, clean, and incredibly fun. 

Pair with: Mashed potatoes and gravy, roasted vegetables.
