County Line Vineyards "Corduroy" Skin Fermented White Sonoma Coast, 2020

A foray into skin-contact white wine, the 2019 Corduroy was named in nod to the textural complexity that resonates throughout. Reminiscent of a golden California sunset, the color hints at its fragrant bouquet, with robust aromas of fresh mandarin, dried apricot, and orange blossom. The nose is gingerly carried through on the palate, and matched by layered notes of airy chamomile, zesty lemongrass, and a hint of walnut skin. Pithy tannins highlight the structured mouthfeel, while a touch of flint weaves throughout the lengthy finish. To showcase its depth and intensity, chill and serve the 2019 Corduroy alongside slow-roasted lamb shoulder or grilled eggplant topped with manchego cheese
