Kings County 7-Year Single Barrel Bourbon

A rare and superlative single barrel whiskey, Kings County’s 7-Year straight bourbon may be the oldest age-statement bourbon distilled outside of traditional bourbon country and the oldest age-stated pot-distilled bourbon. Distilled in July 2013 and bottled at 107 proof, this barrel saw 34% angel's share and spent its career in the greenhouse-like upstairs aging room in the Navy Yard distillery. Barrel forward and full of dry spice and notes of powdered cinnamon, clove, tootsie roll, toffee, and peanut brittle, this is the most traditional-flavored bourbon from Kings County yet. 

This is the first barrel in a series of age-stated, older single-barrel releases, and marks another stage of maturity in the distillery's evolution as one of the most determined, creative, and uncompromising distillers in the country.  With silver foil on the label and a handsome wooden shipping box, this is a giftable whiskey but one we think is worth gifting to one's self at a time when the going is tough.

Mash bill: 80% organic corn & 20% English malted barley. 53.5% ABV. $149/750ml. Bottled at 107 proof with 34% angel’s share.
