Brij Wines are made from grapes we buy from friends and neighbors who farm organically. In the cellar, the approach is the same as at Phelan Farm: careful, thoughtful, and hands-off when possible. The 2025 'BRIJ' Red. Pale ruby with a translucent, garnet edge. The nose opens with precise and perfumed tension; sour cherry and dried rose petal with cardamom and a whisper of sandalwood, all lifted by the cool coastal air that defines this stretch of California's central coast. The palate is fine and restrained, delivering on the aromatic promise without ever overreaching. Texture is the wine's great strength: silky and soft, with a faint, almost talc-like grip that gives shape without weight.

The 2025 'BRIJ' White. Pale gold and crystalline. Lemon zest, lime rind and crushed chalk on the nose — precise, cool and coastal. The palate is linear and mouthwatering, with high acidity pulling the wine into a long, focused finish. Layers reveal themselves quietly: citrus giving way to oyster shell, saline brine and a flicker of lanolin. Medium bodied, complex and completely unadorned. Finishes long on wet stone and preserved lemon.
