100% Riesling from the "Pharmacy" vineyard or Trittenheimer Apotheke. Famous for its rocky slate soils, and southwestern exposure, the wines of Trittenheimer Apotheke are known for having delicate but still puncturing acidity, and very complex, but soothing fruit like tropical citrus, in addition to notes of ginger and honey. The wines somehow come out on the lower end in alcohol percentage, even though it is Kabinett, making this the perfect treat on a sick day. Pair it with braised duck and taro, a southeast Asian root vegetable, to cut through the richness and savory aspects of the dish without compromising on your wine quality.
