This wine is made of 100% Sauvignon Blanc. We would enjoy it with Mussels steamed in white wine, preferrably this one, with crispy shoestring fries. Touraine is a large appellation in the Loire Valley, sitting halfway between Sancerre and Nantes, which is home to Muscadet. This is an incredible value Sauvignon Blanc, where you experience the sharp citrus and minerality of a Sancerre, for half the price. Every sip is bright lemon, green apple, flint, and refreshing.

From the winery: “100% Sauvignon Blanc. The harvest is done manually by our team. No chemical phytosanitary product is used. The soils are plowed. Honey plants and nematicides are sown in the rows. The preparations used come only from processed plant, animal and mineral materials.

This cuvée comes from plots with clay-to-flint and clay-limestone soils located in towns in the Cher valley, such as Chissay-en-Touraine and Saint-Julien-de-Chédon.

Manual harvest, direct pressing, cold settling, fermentation by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats at low temperature, aging on lees until bottling.”
