This wine is from the Right Bank of Bordeaux and is predominantly Merlot, with a touch of both Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. This is classic Merlot its core, dark purple and blue fruits jump out of the glass and are backed up by significant mineral undertones. Sub this bottle in for your usual California Cabernet or Left Bank Bordeaux blend with your steak dinner.

Details

The wine is made from on of the largest mosaic of terroirs present in Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.

Four of them are present in the vineyard of Château Pipeau and make the wine incredibly vibrant and unique.

The influence of the Dordogne River with the ideal South-East exposure gives the king of the right bank king, the Merlot, everything it needs to express itself in the most beautiful way.

A massive work is done on the oxygenation management by huge investment as nitrogen generator or the use of dioxyde ice since vintage 2015. The result is a more complex range of aromas and the ability to appreciate the wine young.
12 months Aging Low to Medium toast. New French Oak Barrels.
