From the Winery: Indulge in the velvety richness of our 2017 Merlot, a wine that captivates with its luscious flavors and elegant structure. Boasting an enchanting bouquet of black cherry, plum and clove, it offers a harmonious palate of blackberry and cherry with hints of vanilla cola. Its supple tannins and well-balanced acidity create a perfect food partner to grilled steak, roast duck and mushroom risotto.

The year began with abundant rainfall, followed by a mild Spring resulting in extended flowering. A Labor Day weekend heatwave kicked harvest into high gear, then cool weather allowed sugar levels to return to normal. Early articles about the 2017 vintage describe the wines with words such as "finesse," "great complexity of flavor" and "elegant."
