From the Winery: Established in 1999, our emphasis towards Northwest wines has evolved to showcase the unique terroir within the prestigious grape growing regions of the Yakima and Willamette Valleys. Co-founders David & Angelica O’Reilly have a passion and history dedicated to fine wines, and together they have crafted a diversified portfolio that has been recognized globally by critics, wine writers and consumers.

Winemaker and co-founder David O’Reilly has crafted the Owen Roe wines since its inception, with a focus on producing wines of integrity and character. He is dedicated to sourcing fruit from only the highest quality vineyards in Yakima and Willamette Valley, and allows the expression of the grape define the end result.

David seeks to produce the most authentic expression of each varietal, using minimal handling and traditional techniques. Selection of vineyard sites along with hands on involvement throughout the growing season is some of the most important winemaking work David does. His picking decisions are always made in the vineyard. David believes "it’s only by observing nature that we can harvest fruit at its delicate peak of aromatic development, while maintaining balanced pH and high acidity."

Great winemaking begins in the vineyard, which is why is has it has been our primary focus since day one to secure only the highest quality sources in Willamette and Yakima Valley. We currently work with 12 vineyard sites across Oregon and Washington to purchase our fruit, working closely with them each vintage from the first leaf to harvest. Each location offers its own unique terroir and flavor profiles that allow us to produce such impactful wines.

This Wine: Abbot’s Table honors the most fundamental form of hospitality through the ages—the meal. The Abbot’s Table traditionally provides an opportunity for fellowship with guests over food and wine. This wine, with its unique varietal diversity, is rich in red fruit notes, with balanced flavors and acidity, exuding charm and texture. It pairs beautifully with many flavors and feasts. The grapes for this wine come from our estate vineyards as well as vineyards farmed by other dedicated families in beautiful eastern Washington State.
