From the winery: The vineyard brings together the properties of our parents and grandparents who brought their harvest to the cooperative cellar. Our first vinification dates back to 1989 and now we cultivate 50 Ha scattered between Estagel and Tautavel. The terroirs are mainly schist , on Estagel and on Tautavel. Classified in AOP Côtes du Roussillon Villages, cru Tautavel and Maury for dry wines as well as in Rivesaltes, Muscat de Rivesaltes and Maury for Vins Doux Naturels . We also cultivate 5 ha on the alluvial plain of Estagel, an area in IGP Côtes Catalanes . Frustrated at not vinifying their own grapes, Jacques and Nadine left the cooperative cellar in 1989 to begin the adventure. It is necessary to rehabilitate the family cellar dating from 1906 in the center of the village, to train in winemaking and to create a sales network. At that time, it was the beginning of the revival of Roussillon viticulture, bottling in private cellars multiplied and the press began to separate Languedoc and Roussillon. Mickaël arrived in 2004 after his studies and a few internships in different French and foreign vineyards. This was the second part of the modernization of the winery: small vat room to refine the selections, aging in large containers and then in 2010 we began certification in Organic Agriculture because making organic wine became obvious.

Our wine cellar, in the heart of the village, dates back to 1906. It was our grandfather and great-grandfather who built it before later joining the cooperative. In 1989, the musts fermented again in this place, a return to the origins…

This desire to be as close as possible to our terroir leads us to vinify the plots and islets separately (80 plots for 50 different vinification vats in 2008!). This allows us to better understand the different expressions and thus adjust the vinifications. They will be as interventionist as possible in order to preserve the personality of each place but oriented in a fresh and balanced style, our desire to offer a reading of the South without heaviness or excess heat. In order not to mark the breeding too much, we have kept or acquired concrete vats as well as large oak containers (600 L to 20 Hl).
