Named after the flooding that shaped the valleys of Oregon we see today, this wine is also a flood of grapes: Chardonnay, Gewürtztraminer, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, and Riesling from both Oregon and Washington. Brilliantly aromatic, the palate brings a mélange of candied peach, watermelon rind, white peach, and subtler grassy notes. We recommend pairing this with grilled shrimp skewers and a fresh salad.

Details

From our distributor: A skin-contact blend of vineyards in OR and WA, named after the Missoula Floods that shaped the Columbia Gorge and Willamette Valley ten thousand years ago.
33% Chardonnay | Finnigan Hill Vineyard - certified organic | Chehalem Mountains AVA
33% Gewurztraminer | Lacewing Vineyard - practicing organic | Columbia Gorge AVA
22% Pinot Gris | Finnigan Hill Vineyard - certified organic | Chehalem Mountains AVA
8% Auxerrois | Zenith Vineyard - sustainable | Eola-Amity Hills AVA
4% Riesling | High Pass Vineyard - sustainable | Lower Long Tom AVA
Making of: the grapes are vinified separately. All of them undergo 30 days of skin contact, are aged in neutral French oak barrels for 6 months and then blended. Unfined and unfiltered, a small amount of SO2 at bottling.
Personality: aromatic, vivid, joyous! “Might be one of the best blends we’ve assembled. Maybe?” Joe says.
