Jacky Blot (RIP 2023) is one of the truly great producers of Loire Valley red wine. Here, a deep(er) dive with a delicious conclusion.

100% Nebbiolo. A graceful, perfumed Nebbiolo with a translucent garnet core edged by orange hues. On the nose, it offers delicate mint, licorice and graphite alongside sweet red fruits—strawberries and sour cherry—plus a whisper of dried herbs. The palate is multi-layered, combining juicy red fruit with fresh, well-integrated acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a long mineral-tinged finish that already shows harmony and poise. Pair with grilled or roasted dark meats (think lamb or beef), rich game dishes, or well-aged cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano or Pecorino.
