Limited from a lovely producer in Mendoza, this Malbec shows the character that over a century of winemaking builds. Red fruit pours from the glass, plum and tart cherry, along with blackberry and an earthy sweet tobacco. Four different vineyard sites contribute to the complexity you'll find and each competes for your attention in a longer finish than is typical of most Malbec. We recommend pairing this with something that pays homage to this wine's provenance, Argentine flank steak with chimichurri.

From the producer's website:
VARIETAL: 100% Malbec.
VINEYARD REGION: Las Compuertas (Luján de Cuyo), Chacayes (Tunuyán), La Consulta (San Carlos) and Finca el Cepillo, (Uco Valley, organic).
ANALYSIS: Alc/Vol: 13.7%.
AGEING: 10 months in French oak barrels.
APPEARANCE: Concentrated and bright violet red with purple reflections.
NOSE: Aromas of ripe red fruits such as plums, cherries and blueberries along with fresh violets and wild berries over earthy, smoky tones and hints of spices.
PALATE: Full and juicy with a sweet and fruity mid-palate. Fresh and tasty. Young and velvety tannins in balance with its fruity, persistent and intense finish.
AGEING POTENTIAL: 10 years.
LAST HARVEST: 2021.
