The 2022 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder “Red Wine” (a Cabernet Sauvignon–driven Bordeaux-style blend) is richly perfumed and elegant, with a core of cherry, black plum and ripe cranberry framed by graphite, tobacco leaf, bay laurel and subtle underbrush notes. On the palate it is firm and focused, supported by fine-grained tannins, bright acidity, and a lingering saline‑tinged finish. For food pairings, lean toward grilled skirt steak or lamb chops with herb de Provence, mushroom‑infused beef Wellington, or cassoulet. It would also shine with aged hard cheeses (e.g. Comté or aged Gouda) or a savory mushroom risotto.

From our Supplier: Certified Organic. Predominantly Cabernet Franc blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Mayacamas Estate Vineyards (Mt Veeder AVA). 100% Estate Sourced. Volcanic ash and igneous rocky soils. 1,800 to 2,400 ft elevation. Hand-harvested. Fermented in concrete and stainless steel. Aged 20 months in large format foudre (10HL-45HL) and 14 months in neutral French oak barrique (228L). Bottled July 2016. 14% abv
