This estate Cabernet from Ridge, with 16% Merlot is a stunner. A rough winter, dry spring, and hot summer created great stress for the vines, but resulted in extremely concentrated fruit. This mountain wine is a true featherweight, and delightful now, or from the cellar in 5 to 20 years. Pair it with your favorite reverse seared red meat, and pan roasted mushrooms.
