This wine is 100% Riesling from Weinbach's estate holdings. Grown on a plot of silt and granite it ripens earlier allowing for lower alcohol content but a typical rich Alsatian palette. Perfect for aging in your cellar, but absolutely delicious if opened now. Classic Alsatian palette of tropical fruit, petroleum and citrus. Pair with your favorite pork dish.

Details

The fruit is from Valley of Kaysersberg in Alsace. The soil is a mixture of sand and silt on granite pebbles. The grapes growing on this terroir ripen a lot earlier, producing wines with complex aromatics and a potent concentration.

Hand-picked at optimum maturity to reinforce the aromatic expression and body of the wines. Gently pressed in whole clusters in pneumatic presses, fermentation with indigenous yeasts (element of the terroir, enhances depth and complexity in the wines) in old oak vats.
