100% Pelaverga Piccolo. Pale ruby in the glass, this elegant and distinctive red opens with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry, rose petals, and the hallmark white pepper spice that defines Verduno Pelaverga. The palate is light-bodied yet expressive, with bright acidity, silky tannins, and a vibrant core of crunchy red fruit, finishing with lingering notes of pepper, dried herbs, and subtle floral nuances. A beautifully perfumed and refreshing expression that captures both the delicacy and character of this rare Piedmontese variety. Ideal with charcuterie, vitello tonnato, tajarin with butter and sage, mushroom risotto, roasted poultry, grilled pork, or aged semi-hard cheeses.

The Pelà vineyard lies along the ridge running from La Morra toward the municipality of Verduno, within the small and exclusive production zone of the Verduno Pelaverga DOC. The vines are approximately 15 years old.

Cascina Penna-Currado is the deeply personal project of renowned winemakers Luca Currado and Elena Penna, whose decades at Vietti established them among Piedmont's most respected producers. Their estate is dedicated to showcasing the heritage and biodiversity of the Langhe through sustainable farming and a focus on native grape varieties. Their Pelaverga is especially noteworthy as it celebrates one of Italy's rarest indigenous grapes, grown almost exclusively in Verduno, capturing the variety's hallmark floral perfume, vibrant freshness, and distinctive white pepper spice with remarkable purity and finesse.
