This wine is 100% Chardonnay and an excellent display of the beauty of Meursault. With vines boasting 55 years of age at the foot of the village hills, this wine is full of strength with deep complexity. Notes of white flowers, almond, and peach are supported by a mild acidity, with a subtle, delicate minerality. We recommend pairing this with lobster in a creamy beurre blanc.

Translated from the producer's website: “Sous la Velle
On this parcel, which is around 55 years old, the grapes ripen quickly, producing a generous Meursault with plenty of tension.
Vinification: Hand-harvested, direct pneumatic pressing of whole bunches without crushing, cold settling for 2 days, alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts and malolactic fermentation in barrels. Racking into stainless steel tanks for blending and resting for 1 month before filtration and bottling.
