This wine is made from 100% Bobal, Spain's third-most planted grape varietal. The wine comes from 30-70 year old vines, and is vinified with whole grape clusters, a unique process for Bobal. The wine is structured, ripe, but still juicy, with notes of spiced dark fruit, clove, and leather. Pair it with a chorizo and chicken paella.

From our Importer: Juan Antonio Ponce's wine, crafted from 30–70-year-old Bobal vines in Manchuela, defies expectations with its unique process involving 100% whole clusters and aging in old wooden vats. Its bouquet blends earthy dark red fruits with notes of clove, spice, and leather. On the palate, bright strawberry flavors meet a chalky, firm finish, adorned with lingering hints of spice and earthiness.
