This wine is 100% Chardonnay from Champagne. While it has plenty of age, this wine will continue to cellar well. Crisp, piercing mineral acidity, and plenty of citrus and orchard fruit make up the palette of this bottling. Pair with lobster, fried chicken, or appetizers.

From the winemaker:

"At the end of the First World War, my great-grandfather, Charles Corbon moved to Avize, he works in a Champagne house in Avize. He acquires his first vines in the 20s, he is then 'seller by the kilo'. He sells the fruit of his vines at the harvest.
His son, Albert, has little interest in the culture of the vine. He is Charbonnier at Avize. His wife, my dear grandmother, Germaine, has a coffee shop, what we would call today a local business and still found everywhere in the villages after the second war."
