Jacky Blot (RIP 2023) is one of the truly great producers of Loire Valley red wine. Here, a deep(er) dive with a delicious conclusion.

This wine is made of 80% Gros Manseng and 20% Petit Manseng. We’d love this paired with a full-flavored pan seared scallop and mushroom risotto, a spicy plate of drunken noodles (Thai), or coconut curry chicken - spice also preferred. Deliciously fruit forward and dry, this bottle can handle something both rich and hot! Mouthwatering grapefruit and ripe peach, and cassis shine on the palate, and the acidity is balanced with lovely floral notes.
