A prime example of Southern French winemaking, it's no wonder Vacqueyras has been standing on its own as appellation since the 80's. Clairette and Bourboulenc make up the blend and create a stony palate of white-fleshed fruit, jasmine and beeswax. For perfect pairings, have this on the table with anything poultry and a tomato tart.

From the Producer's Website:
Terroir :
Places called La Clapière et Fontbonne.
Small hillside facing east composed of blue
and yellow clay from the Pliocene

Grape variety :
80% clairette, 20% bourboulenc

Vinification :
Hand-picked, direct pressing in whole
bunches. Fermentation and ageing in oak
barrels for 10 months

Personality :
White wine, with aromas of flowers and
white fruit, fresh wood, roasting, hazelnut
and almond

Food & wine pairing :
Service at 15°C.
Chicken with morels, Asparagus mousseline
sauce or salmon with sorrel
