100% Chardonnay. From the steep, stony limestone slopes of the Les Bouchères Premier Cru climat, this Meursault-Bouchères delivers a finely etched expression of Meursault, balancing richness with remarkable precision. Aromas of preserved lemon, toasted hazelnut, crushed stone, white flowers, and subtle herbal notes lead into a palate that is both generous and energetic, layered with citrus curd, orchard fruit, saline minerality, and a touch of almond cream. The texture is supple yet focused, supported by vibrant acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish marked by refined bitters and impressive tension. Food pairing: roasted turbot, Dover sole with brown butter, lobster in a light cream sauce, roast chicken with morels, or veal loin with wild mushrooms.

From the Producer:
The word “bouchot” in Burgundian means ‘bush’ or “small grove.” In the past, the presence of bushes was used to identify specific vineyard sites. In this one, which is one of the smallest in Meursault, the rock is so prevalent that only bushes grow there, hence its name.
Our 0.61-hectare plot of Chardonnay, planted in the 1990s, is located southwest of the village and faces southeast. The terroir is characterized by a steep slope and shallow soil where the rock is never far below the surface. The vines benefit from a clay-limestone soil that is very steep and stony, with light-colored earth.
