100% Chardonnay, the 2022 Terreau Thomas from Domaine Les Astrelles is a fresh, finely textured expression of Coteaux Bourguignons in Burgundy, showing fragrant aromas of ripe pear, green apple, and white flowers, with a subtle mineral character reminiscent of crushed seashells. The palate is light and lithe, combining bright, refreshing acidity with juicy white-fruit flavors and a gently rounded texture from 15 months of élevage in oak and ceramic, finishing with elegant length and a delicate stony note. From Domaine Les Astrelles in Gevrey-Chambertin, this is a graceful and food-friendly Chardonnay that pairs beautifully with oysters and shellfish, poached or pan-seared fish, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, and nutty cheeses such as Comté.
