This wine is 100% Pinot Noir from a single vineyard in Burgundy. 'Les Vaucrains' is a historic vineyard of the region, and provides a depth of flavor and character from its ~70 year old vines. Plenty of strawberry, mushroom and leather on the palette. Cellaring or decanting will reward you. Pair with lean cuts of beef, or a bacon and blue cheese hamburger.

• Name expresses “infertile land”
• East by northeast sun exposure and 260-280 meters in altitude, with a grade of 15%
• Soils are regularly plowed
• Vines are only treated when necessary and naturally achieve low yields
• Grapes fully de-stemmed
• Long, slow fermentation in stainless steel cuves, and then wines are racked into barrels
• Aged in barrel, approximately 30% new oak
• Bottled after approximately 20 months of aging
