Cuvée Bernard 2018
In 1983 my father-in-law Fernand made this cuvee in honour of his son’s 18th birthday. Bernard and I chose its current name in 1995.
This is a rounded, easy-drinking wine, made from Carignan, Grenache (planted in 1999) and a Syrah that was planted in the Seventies. The grapes are destemmed and fermented in cement vats. Vatting times are fairly brief which favours red-berry notes and a pleasant roundness.
It is a fruity, smooth and easy-drinking wine, perfect with Catalan charcuterie and grilled meat.
This is a wine to share with friends and family.
