This wine is 100% Fruhburgunder from estate vineyards in the Germany. A darker colored clone of Pinot Noir, this grape sees its only significant plantings in Germany. It is medium bodied, and rich with flavors of tart cherry, blueberry, and spice. Pair with appetizers, poultry, and lean cuts of beef.

Intense fruit aromas, a fine spiciness and the elegant, light acidity that gives this wine a great length.
In 2004, the Dr. Crusius winery began producing red wines of the Pinot Noir variety. Pinot Noir - Pinot Noir Precoce - is a centuries-old mutation of the blue Pinot Noir and is not very widespread due to low yield expectations. For us, Pinot Noir Precoce is qualitatively fascinating and the perfect complement to its big brother, Pinot Noir.
