Famille Garon's flagship wine, made from 100% Syrah. This cuvée is from selected plots in the Côte Blonde half of Côte-Rôtie, which is dominated by granite soils. The resulting wines are perfumed and elegant, with fresh black and red fruit character. Although the appellation permits a small percentage of Viognier, Garon has opted for this cuvée to be completely Syrah to maintain as much structure as they can for an already delicate wine. The nose is absolutely captivating, with aromas of baked cherry pie, violets, and black plums, and very well integrated French Oak. Pair this with a grilled bone-in pork chop, served with roasted potatoes and green beans.
