This wine is 100% Chardonnay from a single vineyard in the Stellenbosch region of South Africa. The level of oak it sees as well as the full malolactic conversion it goes through make it a perfect stand in for your current favorite full bodied chardonnay. Pair with Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan or Honey Dijon Pork Tenderloin. This wine is made at the Mullineux Winery, but is the private label of the vineyard and winery workers.

100% Chardonnay
Sourced from a single vineyard, planted is deep loam-rich soils on the lower slopes of Helderberg Mountain
Cool grapes were pressed whole bunch and allowed to settle overnight
Racked to 225L French oak barriques (20% new), for fermentation with indigenous yeasts with no sulphur or other additives added
Temperatures during fermentation were kept below 22°C
Malolactic fermentation took place naturally and then spent 10 months on the lees
