100% Pinot Noir. A fresher, accessible style of Red Burgundy that sees 20% barrel and 80% steel tank. This wine offers tons of fresh fruit, structure, and vibrancy without an unpleasant "stemminess" or tannic bitterness. It's simple and drinkable, and downright delicious. Pair it with roasted chicken thighs over lentils and chard.

Details

Vignoble Dampt is a winery in Collan, just outside of Chablis, that is run by three brothers, Emmanuel, Eric, and Herve. Their father Bernard started the wine-making tradition back in 1980 as a member of the Cave Cooperative La Chablisienne. They have about 60 hectares in Tonnerre and Chablis producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. They combine tradition and modernism to make the best wines to satisfy their various customers. The Chevalier d'Eon was a famous ambassador and spy of the king of France who was born in Tonnerre. It was because of him that Paris and other capitals of the world know the wines of Tonnerre and Chablis. It's no wonder why they chose him as a symbol for their label.

Tasting notes
An elegant deep red colored wine. This wine has
nice fruit flavors, good structure, and light smoky
aromas. Nice concentration. The attack on the
mouth is round. The tannins are dense but not
aggresive. Fresh and mineral finish.
