Burgundian origins bring some very serious winemaking to the Willamette Valley. Anne Sery, whose family owns vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, brings her experience making Pinot Noir with her own family and greats like Domaine Hubert Lignier State-side, gifting us some beautifully creative twists on typical Oregon. Her Trousseau is an excellent demonstration of her eye for potential, drawing out brilliant, ripe red fruit, fresh herbs, and a subtle spice from an underrepresented varietal. We recommend pairing this with grilled chicken and a greek salad.

Varietal: 100% Trousseau

Appellation: Willamette Valley, OR

Vineyard: Eola Springs Vineyard

ABV: 14.8%

Vinification: Hand-harvested from Eola Springs Vineyard and crafted with minimal intervention, the fruit was partially destemmed, leaving a portion whole cluster to build aromatic lift and structure. Fermentation occurred in small open-top vessels with native yeasts and gentle daily punch downs to preserve the grape's delicate floral and spice-driven character. After 14 days of skin contact, the wine was pressed to neutral French oak barrels where it completed malolactic fermentation and aged for six months.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of rose petal, strawberry

pie, white pepper, cinnamon stick, and Bing cherry. The palate is fresh and lively with a lot of red raspberries, red currants, lithe tannins, and baking spice. A silky mouthfeel and red fruits linger on the finish.
