This wine is made of 100% Riesling from the Heiligenstein Erste Lage, the Austrian designation for a single vineyard of exceptional quality. The Riesling has complex floral and earthy nose is followed up by pure zippy orchard fruits. Apricots, white peaches, and a hint of river rocks carry through a long, bone-dry finish. We would pair this with Thai meatballs in a creamy coconut curry sauce, and diced mangoes over rice. The dryness, acid, and fruit character of the wine will slice through this rich and slightly sweet dish perfectly. A truly awesome Riesling with legendary roots.

Heiligenstein:
Ried (single vineyard, cru) Heiligenstein is interspersed with Riesling terraces and is a landmark of Langenlois. The “Zöbinger Perm” is a unique geological structure based on sandstone, silt and arkose and organic sediments. Some parts of the Riesling terraces contain the oldest vineyards of the estate.
