This old vine 100% Pinot Noir is absolutely stunning. Winemaking in Marsannay runs back to the 14th century, when it was the preferred wine in Burgundy. The village is known for making wines typical of the Côte de Nuits, with an intense and expressive bouquet and coloration, with both bright red and black fruit flavors blended on the palate. The vineyard, 'Les Longerioles' is situated near the valley floor at the eastern edge of Marsannay, and experiences slightly more warm sunlight, for a slightly riper wine with smooth soft tannin. The wine is aged in a majority of used oak barrels. Enjoy with roasted pike perch served with pears and fennel.
