This wine is 100% Gamay from a single parcel of vines in Beaujolais. A magnificently concentrated Fleurie, with lovely acidity, and notes of dried purple flowers, white pepper, and tart red fruit. Pair with your favorite fish dish, or appetizers.

From the Importer:
Vineyard/Terroir: 2 hectares in 2 parcels. Primarily decomposed granite and sand, this poor, acidic soil allows for concentrated wines. Vines have been grown biodynamically since 2012. Bush trained according to the lunar calendar to aid vine regeneration. Native cover crops are grown and tilled into the soil every other year to aid soil health. A blend of plants is used for vine treatments (nettle, buckthorn, etc.).

The Cuvée du Chaos comes from the oldest vines in Grand Pré (60-100+ years old). Yann considers this his cuvée d'exception and uses these vines to experiment with biodynamic farming, as well as other ways to advance his vineyard management. The wine itself is one of the most beautiful expressions of Gamay in the universe, a wine that searches for purity over strength and elegance over richness. It's a rare example of a tete de cuvée that is lighter in body, though richer in complexity.
