100% Gamay. Bright, juicy and immediately inviting, the 2025 Raisins Gaulois is all about fresh red fruit, with notes of wild strawberry, crunchy cherry, raspberry and a touch of white pepper, along with a faint floral lift. Light on its feet but full of energy, it has a supple texture, lively acidity and barely-there tannins that make it exceptionally easy to drink. The wine also carries the unmistakable stamp of Marcel Lapierre, one of the defining figures of Beaujolais and an important pioneer of the natural wine movement; that same focus on purity, freshness and minimal intervention continues today through his children Mathieu and Camille. A wonderfully uncomplicated bottle in the best sense best served with a slight chill and enjoyed alongside charcuterie, roast chicken, sausages or a simple mushroom pizza.

From the Winery: Marcel Lapierre took over his family domaine in Villié-Morgon in 1973 and became one of the key figures in the revival of traditional Beaujolais. Influenced by the winemaker and chemist Jules Chauvet, he began working organically and fermenting with native yeasts and little to no sulfur in the early 1980s, at a time when these practices were decidedly outside the mainstream. His wines helped lay the groundwork for what would become the modern natural-wine movement, and the domaine is now continued by his children, Mathieu and Camille.
