This incredible bottle is made from 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec, and 1% Merlot, from the CADE estate vineyard, as well as the historic 13th Vineyard. Fruit was handpicked, destemmed, and hand sorted for the highest quality. A warm vintage lowered the usually high tannins you'd expect from Howell Mountain fruit, but the wine maintains its structure nicely. It was aged for 19 months in new French oak sourced from all-star coopers in France. It has flavors of pine, cedar, black plum, and cassis, and would pair nicely with Beef Wellington.
