Jacky Blot (RIP 2023) is one of the truly great producers of Loire Valley red wine. Here, a deep(er) dive with a delicious conclusion.

100% Syrah, practicing organic. Deep, vibrant ruby with purple highlights; youthful and intense in color. Fresh and fragrant nose of black cherries, crushed violets, black pepper, and blueberries. Subtle hints of smoked meat, graphite, and olive tapenade, showing both varietal character and northern Rhône terroir. Medium-bodied with sleek, polished tannins and bright acidity. The fruit is dark and juicy — blackberry, plum skin, and currant — layered with savory elements: black olive, cracked pepper, and a gentle herbal lift. Refined texture with impressive purity and energy. Clean, peppery, and mineral-driven with a persistent, aromatic tail of dark fruit and spice.
