This certified organic blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet, and Carignan is crafted from vines nestled in the shadow of Les Alpilles, a stunning limestone range. Aged with indigenous yeasts in a combination of tank and large older barrels, it pairs perfectly with roasted meats and aged cheese. True honest Southern French Red from a beautiful farm...really special. Really True.

Details

BLEND: 60% Grenache, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cinsault
VINEYARDS: Vineyards are surrounded by pine trees and the natural scrub
(garrigue) of the south. Soils are a mix of decomposed granite, clay and
limestone, very rocky and dry. The estate makes its own compost (from
cow/sheep manure) and plows between vineyard rows; beneficial herbs are
planted to control pests and moderate vine growth.
AGE OF VINES: 20 to 30 years
WINEMAKING: Hand-harvested. Grapes are destemmed, lightly crushed,
then macerated for eight to 12 hours. Pressed (rosé de pressurage) then
fermented on indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled, stainless steel
tanks. Aged in tank. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
TASTING IMPRESSIONS: Aromas of wildflowers, orange peel, light spice. Flavors of Pomegranate and Cherry Jam. Silky, Medium Bodied
