Railsback Frères 'Les Rascasses' Vieilles Vignes de Cinsault Rosé, 2024

Railsback Frères 'Les Rascasses' Vieilles Vignes de Cinsault Rosé, 2024

Regular price $24.00

This vintage of Les Rascasses is drawn entirely from 75 year-old Cinsault vines, grown on limestone soils just above the Mediterranean. They are low-yielding and dry-farmed, resulting in some of the most concentrated rosé you may have ever sipped on. It is pale and bright, familiar to southern French blush, but anchored by a saline, mineral backbone tied through with wild berry flavors and aromatics. Pair this with grilled, slightly charred eggplant, topped with fresh yogurt, dill, lemon zest, and pine nuts.

Details

From our Importer: When Eric and I began making wine together as Railsback Frères in 2014, we aimed to produce a rosé in the spirit of our heroes in Provence—specifically Lulu Peyraud and the old style at Domaine Tempier. For our tenth vintage together, that inspiration brought us back to the source: the South of France.

For us, the 2024 Les Rascasses represents a kind of full circle—making rosé in France, from ancient vines, in the style that first inspired us to start Railsback Frères.

This is our most delicious vintage of Rascasses yet, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
