Collection: Syrah

Syrah is one of the top planted red wine varieties in the world, finding prominent placement in many different countries and climates. Locations we typically see plantings of Syrah are Southern France's Rhone Valley, California, Washington State, and Australia. Although it is becoming popular in other regions of the world as well.

Fuller bodied styles of Syrah are dry, of medium-plus body and acidity and higher alcohol. The wines smell of licorice, smoked meats, and dark fruits and are full of blue fruit and pepper on the palette. The tannins are present but typically well integrated with the wine. The lighter styles are becoming more popular and are typically from cooler climates. All Syrah wines will be dynamite with Lamb and Venison as well as basically anything off the grill. The rosé’s are a great aperitif and with vegetarian dishes.
