From the Winery: Bay Area natives and husband and wife vintner team, Elijah & Leslie Pfister helped found a little wine import company back in 2008. Given their proximity to Napa and Sonoma and their burgeoning reputation in fine wine, the two were urged by friends and colleagues to start making wines of their own from grapes farmed locally in California.

Having established close friendships with several farmers throughout the state (and eventually beyond!), it was simple enough to head into their "backyard" so to speak, and work with some of the best growers from some of the best vineyards around the world. Today, Nine North Wine Company represents a varied portfolio of limited production, handcrafted wines from California, Oregon, Washington and New Zealand. The portfolio expresses exceptional quality and value across several different brands, at price points that won't dent your pocketbook.

Leslie & Elijah live with their two kids, Henry and Nora in Oakland, CA and commute to regions like Napa, Sonoma, New Zealand and beyond to visit vineyard sites and farming friends the world over.

Before striking out on her own, Molly spent fifteen years working alongside many of California's most renowned and celebrated winemakers (Heidi Barrett, Philippe Melka, Julien Fayard, Mike Hirby, and Scott Rich). She credits this tutelage for honing her detail-focused, site-honoring winemaking style. Molly has been working with Nine North Wine Company since 2012.
