This wine is made of 100% Chardonnay. In recent times the Côte de Nuits has transitioned to producing more white wine, when historically it was usually reserved for red grapes. The juice for this wine is aged on its lees, and stirred periodically to achieve great textural roundness. The palate shows bright yellow apple and a pleasant nuttiness, while remaining direct in its attack. We would love pairing this with a chicken thigh blanquette, topped with homemade croutons.

From the Import Community: The Domaine du Clos des Poulettes is a family-run, non-negociant estate that farms 16 hectares in the Côte de Nuits. The red wines on offer range from Burgundy to Vosne-Romanée, and are renowned for their ageing potential, regularly winning numerous medals in France and abroad. Always striving for quality, Hélène Michaut-Gaudeul continues the family tradition of combining modern techniques with ancestral know-how to produce fine wines.
