description

The Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively from “Les Monts Ferrés”, a vineyard located in the village of Voipreux, on the very limits of the Côte des Blancs between Vertus and Mesnil-sur-Oger. The vines were planted in 1952. The clay soils give this wine its power and style, so Lahaye has truly achieved his goal of a pure terroir wine. It is broad yet with pure fruit delineation.

The wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels, one to two years depending on the vintage composing the wine. It goes through malolactic fermentation. No dosage or sulfites are added.

The latest release is a blend of 2016 and 2017, bottled in July 2018 without filtration – 3,000 bottles produced. The base wines for the previous release were 2014 and 2015.
